We use exclusively Sydney's top musicians. Our players have worked for the best groups in Australia, notably the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. We only engage experienced professional musicians and we always deliver the highest quality musical performance.
With over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry we know how to help you make good decisions about the music for your event, and guarantee to provide you with a first class performance on the day.
With over 1000 titles in our song books we provide an enormous variety of music ranging from Mozart to Cole Porter to U2. We are always delighted to work with our clients to play songs that are special to them - please ask about our arrangement service if you have a particular song in mind!

AVIENTO has performed at over 1500 weddings to date in venues ranging from Sydney's top restaurants and hotels to glorious beachside settings. Our extensive experience in the wedding industry means we know how to make your ceremony run smoothly and guide you through the choices of music for your special day.
Our magnificent repertoire list of both classical and popular songs gives you the flexibility to tailor-make your wedding music. If you would like to have a song performed that is special to you and which is not already on our list, we can work with professional arrangers who will create a custom made version of your favourite song (*charges apply).

AVIENTO is managed by the cellist Vicki Parkin. Vicki trained at Cambridge University, after which she worked for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.
During her time in the UK Vicki played in orchestral recordings for stars like Robbie Williams and Madonna, and worked for many years in the original West End show Les Misérables . Based in Sydney since 2003, Vicki now works for the orchestra of Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House.

We perform regularly at The Gunners Barracks Tea Rooms in Mosman, DunbarHouse in Vaucluse and Quay Restaurant in The Rocks.
As one of Sydney’s most sought-after and trusted wedding music providers we are booked up to a year in advance. We recommend contacting us as soon as you have locked in a date and venue for your wedding.

Most commonly we start corporate functions with classical music, moving to light jazz or pop music later. In longer events we can co-ordinate our breaks with speeches if they are planned.
All musicians working for Aviento have valuable instruments which cannot withstand exposure to harsh sun or any rain. At outdoor venues we ask you to provide a wet weather alternative and adequate shelter from sun or rain (e.g. large shade umbrella at the beach). We will arrive at an engagement approximately 20 minutes before the start time to set up. You do not need to include this in your booking time.
Our minimum booking time is 1 hour. We advise a 1.5 hour booking time for weddings, especially Catholic church ceremonies. Please read our PDF Aviento Wedding Guide for more information.
Aviento musicians are smartly dressed in black clothes. At weddings, they usually sit to the left of the altar in a church, or in an appropriate shady place if outdoors.
We are very happy to book other instrumentalists to perform with us at your wedding. We have excellent contacts with Sydney's most experienced and respected performers. Please enquire for details.
We perform as a duo, trio or quartet. Choosing the best group for your event should be based on the number of guests and the size of the space where your event is taking place. We generally recommend a trio for medium size weddings (up to 50 people) and a quartet for larger events. A small number of songs are only available for quartet – please check if you have a particular request.
Absolutely! We are always happy to try to perform new repertoire for our clients. Please talk to us about specific songs you would like to hear before making a booking with us. Please note that if an arrangement by a professional arranger is required there may be a charge.
