Our Pricing

Aviento offers various ensemble options for you to create the musical experience you envisage for your event.
The size of your venue, the number of guests and your key song music choices will also influence your choice.

DUET

Violin & Cello
from $580*
A perfect option for intimate weddings, our violin and cello duo will provide ambience without overwhelming smaller venues. This group offers a broad range of repertoire from classical to pop, and if you plan to walk down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon this ensemble works beautifully. Please do check with us if you have a special song in mind before booking a duo.

TRIO

Two Violins & Cello
from $780*
A trio is a like the string quartet without the viola, producing a slightly softer yet still full tone. Several of our audio demo tracks on our Listen to Us page were recorded using a trio. Trios are very popular for wedding ceremonies, and most of our repertoire can be easily adapted for this group’s formation.

QUARTET

Two Violins, Viola & Cello
from $980*
Our largest and most requested group is a quartet of two violins, one viola and one cello. We are shown in this formation in the video and photos on our website. A quartet produces a loud, rich sound with harmonic depth and dimension.  Any of the songs we offer on our Repertoire List can be played by a quartet.
* Other factors such as distance from Sydney and public holiday may affect our pricing, please contact us for a personalised quote.

Want to try something a little different?

A beautiful alternative to the classical string sound is the use of a flute in the group. Normally we recommend replacing one violin with the flute in each of our groups, giving a mix of flute and strings. There are several examples of flute and strings on our Listen to Us page.

Our booking process

Refer to our groups options and our Repertoire list above to help you get a feel for the type of musical experience you would like to create at your event. Speak to Vicki direct on 0423 903040 or email her at info@aviento.com if you have any queries or would like to obtain a personalised quote.

Deposit
Once you are satisfied with the details of your booking we will send you an Agreement which sets out our Terms & Conditions. A non-refundable $200 deposit secures your booking with Aviento. For private clients, the balance of the engagement fee is due two weeks prior to the event if paid by netbank, or on the day if paid by cash. Corporate clients will be sent an invoice for the balance of the fee post event (we do not charge GST).

Overtime
If we are playing at a wedding ceremony we strongly advise reserving us for time period which includes room for unforseen events, e.g. a delayed guest or inclement weather. If the booking time expires Aviento musicians will continue to play during a wedding ceremony where possible. Overtime will be invoiced at the overtime rate (see our Agreement for details). Kindly note that in busy periods we may play at more than one wedding in a day, and consequently our musicians may not be able to stay longer than the agreed period.

Cancellation
Cancellation at any time forfeits the deposit. The balance of the fee will be refunded for cancellation more than two weeks before the event.

On the day

Performance setup
Aviento musicians will arrive approximately 15 minutes before the start of the booking time to set up their performance space. They will be elegantly dressed in formal black clothes (please ask if you would like an alternative, we are happy to assist!).

Playing outside
We are more than happy to play outside and ask that you discuss your outdoor arrangements with us at the time of booking.  Please note we will require you to have a plan to ensure our valuable wooden instruments are protected from strong sun or rain.

Sun
A large sun umbrella (provided by you), or the shade of a nearby tree, or is normally sufficient for us to shelter from the sun.

Rain
Usually clients have a wet weather plan in place which involves deciding to move the event to an indoor location well ahead of time. If you do decide to proceed outdoors in inclement weather Aviento musicians will do their best to play for you as long as possible, however they will not play in even the lightest rain (this damages our instrument’s varnish).
In the event of rain the musicians cannot play unless there is a very sheltered spot nearby – please discuss your wet weather alternative at the time of booking with us.

Special requirements
Please provide a chair for each musician and enough light to read music by.
The musicians will take a 10- minute break in every hour for engagements longer than one hour. For wedding ceremonies of 1.5 hours no break is required as the musicians won’t be playing continuously.

We reserve the right to provide substitute qualified and competent musicians (other than those pictured) in cases of illness, misadventure, or where there is a prior commitment.

Aviento prides itself on its excellent standards of performance, communication and reliability. We always seek to meet our clients’ expectations in full. In the unlikely circumstance that you are not happy with our musical services a partial or whole refund may be negotiated. Our maximum financial liability for any legal claim is limited entirely to the cost of the booking.  Your payment of a deposit serves as acceptance of the above disclaimer and releases us from any further liability
